MailSolid Terms of service
Our agreement
These terms govern MailSolid, the email domain security service operated by Digital Checkmark LLC, based in Tampa, Florida, United States. MailSolid checks and watches the DNS records that protect a domain's email (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MTA-STS, TLS reporting and related records), receives and explains DMARC aggregate reports, analyzes messages you upload and runs mail tests. The terms apply to your account and to the workspaces of the business you represent. You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for that business. Acceptance is recorded after your identity is verified. For questions about these terms write to support@mailsolid.com.
Your account and team
Keep your sign-in methods secure, review your sessions and tell us about any unauthorized use. The workspace owner manages the team, its roles, the alert destinations and the other settings of the workspace. You are responsible for the content you provide and for the actions you authorize your team to take.
Your domains
Only add domains you own or are authorized to manage or monitor, and only connect the services and alert destinations you have the right to use. Checking a domain reads its public DNS records. To receive DMARC reports you add the report address MailSolid gives you to your DMARC record. If you use the hosted policies (hosted DMARC or MTA-STS), you point records of your domain to MailSolid and MailSolid publishes the policy you configure; removing those records from your DNS stops it. You decide which DNS changes to make. MailSolid shows the records it proposes but does not change your DNS on its own.
Plans and charges
The features, quotas and limits of your plan appear in the console. When paid plans or extras are offered, their price, duration and renewal are shown before you buy them, and payments are handled by our payment provider. A free plan is not a paid subscription. Purchases, taxes and third-party offers are also subject to the terms presented at purchase. Accepting these terms does not make a purchase. Anything above the limits of your plan is paused, not deleted, until the plan allows it again.
Cancellation
You can cancel a paid plan from the console. Cancellation stops renewal and keeps the paid access until the end of the period you bought. There is no automatic refund for partially used periods, except where required by law, the offer terms or a written agreement with us. Export the data you need before deleting a workspace or your account.
Acceptable use
Do not use MailSolid for illegal activity, fraud, impersonation, spam or phishing, to send unsolicited mail to the test or report addresses, to attack or overload the service or other systems, to monitor domains you are not authorized to monitor, or to evade quotas or limits. Do not upload messages or data you have no right to process. MailSolid is not an emergency service.
Results and the AI second opinion
A result describes the evidence available when the check ran: DNS answers, reports received and the content of the message analyzed. It is not a guarantee that mail will be delivered or that a message is safe or unsafe. DNS and reports change, and providers decide on their own how they treat each message. The AI second opinion in message analysis is off by default. When a workspace turns it on, its opinion can only raise the level of a finding, may be wrong and must be reviewed.
Your content and the data you process
You keep your rights to your content and data. You authorize us to process them to provide, protect and maintain the service under your instructions. When you use MailSolid for your own clients, or put the public tools on your website, you decide the purpose and lawful basis for that processing, give the required notices and handle the requests of the people concerned. MailSolid processes that data on your behalf, as described in the Privacy policy and the Data processing agreement. We restrict staff access, apply security measures and use the providers listed in Subprocessors. We do not sell this data. If we confirm a breach affecting your data we will notify you without undue delay.
Availability and suspension
We work to keep the service available, but outages and maintenance may occur. No service level is provided unless agreed in writing. We may restrict access for abuse, security risks, breach of these terms or nonpayment, with notice where possible. You may delete your account from the console. Recovery and deletion periods are described in the Privacy policy.
Liability and governing law
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost mail or lost profits, and our total contractual liability is limited to the amounts paid for the service in the twelve months before the event. These limits do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be limited or your mandatory rights. The law of Florida, United States, applies without overriding applicable mandatory protections. Contact us to try to resolve a concern before bringing a claim.
Changes
We publish a new edition when these terms change. Material changes are communicated before they take effect unless legal or security requirements require earlier action, and the console asks you to accept the new edition. Your recorded acceptance identifies the edition you accepted; it is never replaced with a fabricated acceptance of a later one.
